if you think about it, growth has a lot to do with getting out of your comfort zone. imagine never wanting to leave your mother’s womb, then never wanting to leave her arms, never wanting to leave her side that first day of school.
as we make our way through life, we learn new tricks, we try new foods, we meet new people. and if you think about how expansive the world is, and how there is just so much to explore and discover, there is no end to moving out of your comfort zone. because if you tell yourself, ‘let me give it try’, ‘let me say yes to living’, then nothing will ever get old, there will always be something to learn and something to discover.
there will always be something exciting around the corner, over the horizon, and even in your own backyard.
growth is about change, about seeing the world as open and undiscovered; growth is about being open to possibility, and knowing that each one of us is capable of so much change.
we have to let go of trying to be perfect, trying to look good. we have to let go of the fear of judgement and the fear of making mistakes. we have to have faith to allow our bud to blossom and unfold. it’s in letting go of the need to control the outcome, that we see in taking the risk to get out of our comfort zone, we begin to live a fulfilled life filled with adventure.
each one of us has to be willing to take steps to step into the flow of change, the flow of possibility, the flow of dreams… the flow of the unimaginable.
