a dear friend recently resurfaced in my life. his son and my husband struggle with the same disease, and perhaps this was the universe bringing us back together, this time through our hearts.
so often we judge each other by how we look, what we wear, what car we drive, the neighborhood we live in, and it’s often the surface stuff that keeps us from connecting to each other’s souls. when we open up, and connect heart to heart, it allows us to move past all the extraneous, surface kunk that keeps us noticing our differences and keeps us from seeing within.
it’s when we can connect to the essence of the other that we feel the love, the acceptance and the beauty in each other that we realize our true connection, the spiritual relationship that often gets overlooked.
once our souls connect, i experience a lightness that allows me to hear and express an overwhelming truth and love that inspires me to continue to share and connect soul to soul with everyone i meet. it’s a beautiful feeling.
